Pharmaceutical Benefits

  • Develop and maintain project documentation for the Prescription Shopping Program Alert Service Automation Project, including Project Management Plan, Project Business Case, Project Schedule and Requirements.
  • Develop and implement project communications including website content, operational materials (scripting, fact sheets etc), letters, correspondence and key messaging to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with and organise workshops for internal and external stakeholders, including departmental ICT sections and peak bodies for Pharmaceuticals.
  • Coordinate a large-scale review of existing and required governance documentation across PBS related programs and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) related policy areas. 
  • Develop governance documentation required to fill any gaps found during review – including process maps, procedures and business specifications.

  • Coordinate the development and amendment of operational communication materials and guides following the decision to list new medicines on the PBS, changes in PBS Authority Approval policy, or as the result of feedback from healthcare professionals. Materials included forms, letters, information guides, web content, any related internal or external media, and Ministerial and Ombudsman briefing requests.
  • Monitor the Branch’s ‘operational readiness’ in relation to PBS listing implementation dates to schedule work as appropriate.
  • Develop standard wording, preferred terms and information guides about the PBS for internal use and for stakeholders to reference.
